چکیده

In this paper we present a model of economic growth with endogenous technical progress. We test if the neoclassical accepts assumption that capital intensity affects Total Factor Productivity (TFP) in long run. Our view takes inspiration from Kaldor's 1957 which Technical Progress Function (TPF) responds to joint behavior and inventiveness. find “movements along production function cannot be distinguished shifts function” as formalized by TPF. The is tested using Structural VAR for 17 advanced economies, over period 1980–2020. On impact, when improves, TFP increases sharply. This response large persistent time explains about half much measured TFP. It confirms an omitted variable traditional scheme used estimate Notably, standard not consistent evidence. analysis also shows demand shocks can have permanent effects on output unemployment. Finally, monetary policy helps stabilize business cycle, but loses its effectiveness

An Empirical Assessment of the Monetary Approach to Endogenous Technical Progress Theory: DSGE approach

Economis growth is one of the main factors for evaluating the performance of governments. Economic growth itself is influenced by other factors that have been addressed in growth theories. Among the factors examined in growth theories, technical progress is of particular importance due to its long-term effects on growth. In recent growth models, the technological progress considered an endogeno...

Is technical progress sectorally concentrated? An empirical analysis for Western European countries

Previous research shows that technical progress at the industry level, measured by sectoral TFP growth, is more localized in continental European countries than in Anglo-Saxon countries. We use EU KLEMS data sets to decompose sectoral TFP for nine European countries by means of a Malmquist approach, in order to separate technical change. Applying Harberger diagrams, we describe the sectoral pat...

Total Factor Productivity Growth, Technical Change and Technical Efficiency Change in Asian Economies: Decomposition Analysis

The aim of this paper is to analyze total factor productivity (TFP) growth and its components in Asian countries applying Stochastic Frontier Analysis (SFA) to the time series data of 44 Asian countries from 2000 to 2010. Using Battese and Coelli approach, TFP is divided into technical efficiency change and technical change. TFP decomposition using SFA method for the years 1998 to 2007 indicate...

An empirical study on how expert knowledge affects bug reports

Bug reports are crucial software artifacts for both software maintenance researchers and practitioners. A typical use of bug reports by researchers is to evaluate automated software maintenance tools: a large repository of reports is used as input for a tool, and metrics are calculated from the tool’s output. But this process is quite different from practitioners, who distinguish between report...
